My dieting experience is such that I would not voluntarily resort to the method of self-torture. If there isn’t a "but": I’ve seen the results of two weeks sitting on a "Japanese" diet with my own eyes. Just like in the magazine: "before" and "after". However, the principle of beauty and health gives the best results.

It’s hard to say why the diet is Japanese - half of the food recommended for Japanese is exotic. Legend has it that the diet was developed by specialists from the Japanese clinic "Jacks", but there are no traces of this office on the English-speaking Internet.

Lyrical sentimental digression

I must say that I admire the courage of people who found the recipe for weight loss on the net and immediately tried it on themselves. I myself am wary of diet. Life has united me twice with them.

The first time - in a severe form, when I got any stomach infection in the mountains, when I was at an altitude of 3, 000 meters for three weeks, I could not eat: everyone asked to return immediately. The second time, I decided to limit my diet to 1, 000 calories per day. For almost a month, my diet consisted of ice cream coffee for breakfast and frozen vegetables for dinner. I soon learned that the diet should be balanced.

So the first question I ask is: how balanced is the Japanese diet? "More or less, but not enough amino acids, " replied the biochemical friend, "you get angry - the danger with a gun. "My hypothetical fear of exacerbated cruelty did not materialize. For the first two days, her body was suddenly paralyzed by the sudden disappearance of normal food. And realizing that this was a long time, but not forever, he became calm and indifferent.

Charm and disappointment

As it happened in each experiment, I had a list of talismans and disappointments. More precisely, the discomfort and enjoyment of food.

Inconvenience # 1

The diet is strict. Because, according to its authors, it is designed to change metabolism. Hence, a slight deviation from the course (even croutons, even apples) - and the expected result is not guaranteed. Expectations: Divorce by 5 to 8 pounds and weight stabilization in the future.

Inconvenience # 2

Come to the business lunch and ask me for two boiled eggs and 200 grams of chopped carrots. Usually, such requests are not granted. Therefore, you need to carry all the food in your wallet. And probably prepare diet foods the day before.

13 days on a Japanese diet will cost you about 2 times less than a daily business lunch or a working lunch. And then - buy groceries at home.

In general, it is better not to start a solid diet, if you do not like at least half of the food it contains. I ate carrots, kefir and cabbage with cooked beef and fish in "normal life" with great enthusiasm, so it was frankly a pleasure to see them on my table.

Many people ask questions about drinking coffee every morning - isn't it harmful? If your heart or blood pressure is high, coffee can have a negative effect. You should consult your doctor before starting a Japanese diet.

Full of emotions

During the first two days of the diet, I was tormented by a sight: as soon as I closed my eyes, a thin pancake appeared in front of my eyes and turned into a tube on its own. Then someone dipped it in a warm strawberry jam and brought it to my face. There was no olfactory hallucination. After chasing me for two days, the pancakes were left behind.

Indifference and restraint in cooking that continues to this day. This does not mean that if I am offered something tasty, I will refuse. However, "there is so much food there" that the nervous tremor was not observed.

I haven’t thrown so much - only 4 pounds, but the weight hasn’t recovered. I don't know who to thank for this: the Japanese dietitians or myself - for exercising twice a week. The only details: weakening as observed during the diet, it becomes problematic to open an unopened bottle of mineral water to the end. But then the strength is quickly restored.
